MED-ENEC Provides the second "Energy Audit in Buildings" Training to its Partners in Palestine
Energy efficiency and energy saving are of a great importance for Palestine since all its energy needs to be imported. Energy Audit is one of the most important tools used for energy saving. Palestinian professionals working in the energy sector needed to be trained on how to conduct energy audits in buildings, accordingly MED-ENEC provided this on demand training to its partners in the palestinian energy authority.
The training was held from 20 to 24 May, 2012, in Ramallah, in partnership with the Palestinian Energy and Environment Research Centre (PERC) and the Palestinian Energy Authority, and was attended by almost 24 participants.
The training was highly welcomed by the Palestinian partners as His Excellency the Minister of Energy, Dr. Omar Kittaneh, gave a welcome speech to the audience. At the end of the course, after the participants passed an exam, His Excellency Dr. Kittaneh handed over the certificates to the participants
A similar course was conducted by MED-ENEC end of January in Algiers, Algeria, which was the first among the series of Energy Audit Trainings that MED-ENEC will be providing to its Mediterranean Partner Countries. These training courses are one of the instruments MED-ENEC is offering to its beneficiary countries supporting them to work on energy efficiency measures
