L’amélioration des conditions cadre, le développement des affaires, et l'appui aux grands programmes de construction nationaux sont les activités principales du projet.

Pilot Project Tunisia

The Green Hill Resort is an eco-hotel SPA complex in Beni M''Tir in the Northwest of Tunisia.

Accommodation is provided in three zero energy chalets with a total floor space of 148 m² and incorporating technology based on geothermal and solar energy as well as bioclimatic architectural elements.


Pilot Project Syria

Five story apartment block with 30 apartments, part of the New Youth Residential Complex consisting of 18 buildings with 12,600 flats in total, situated north west of Damascus in the Kudsia Suburbs.

The apartment block has a total floor space of 480 m²; passive building design measures and solar energy are used to improve energy efficiency.


Pilot Project Palestine

Three story residential villa in a larger building block at the north-west outskirts of Ramallah / Al Bireh, West Bank.

Each block consists of 5 flats with a total floor space of approx. 340m².

A geothermal heat pump system provides heating and cooling.


Pilot Project Morocco

Typical residential villa with 180 m² floor space in the Rabat-Casablanca agglomeration. The villa is a demonstration building on the campus of the National School of Architects in Rabat.


Pilot Project Jordan

Aqaba Residence Energy Efficiency (AREE) is an energy efficient building designed for hot dry climate. AREE is located in the 9th district of Aqaba city, Jordan.

The building, 420 m² in size, is designed for residential purpose with the option of use as guest researcher loggings/study center.

The project is the national winner of the ENERGY GLOBE Award 2007.


Pilot Project Israel

The TAEQ Green Training and Community Centre in Sakhnin is a two story public building integrating modern and vernacular elements. It is used as headquarter of the Towns Association for Environmental Quality (TAEQ) and for training and demonstration purposes.

The TAEQ Centre has a floor space of currently 1482m² and is planned to be extended to 2101 m². To increase energy efficiency, vernacular passive measures, modern energy efficiency measures and renewable energies are used.


Pilot Project Egypt

Refurbishment including solar cooling of the South Sinai Governorate Project, an administrative building with 567 m² floor space and training facilities as well as accommodation for students in Sharm el Sheikh.

Rural low-energy house in Algiers with 80 m² floor space, 3 bedrooms, 1 kitchen, 1 bathroom and lavatories, all on ground level. Energy efficiency measures include the use of local building materials and solar energy.
